VGrid Energy Systems has announced that its two flagship products, Persist Biochar and Persist PAF Bioliquid, have received Organic Input Material (OIM) certification from the California Department of Food and Agriculture. This certification confirms that both products meet the requirements for use in certified organic farming and align with the standards of the National Organic Program.

Persist Biochar is a soil amendment made from pistachio shells that supports soil structure, water retention, microbial activity, and long-term carbon sequestration. Persist PAF Bioliquid is a liquid plant and soil enhancer that contains organic acids, phenols, and other beneficial biomolecules. It is designed to support nutrient availability, plant resilience, and soil microbial health.

The OIM certification is one of the most stringent organic input standards in the United States. Both products also maintain their OMRI listing for USDA organic production and are recognized as 100 percent biobased under the USDA BioPreferred Program.

These certifications reflect VGrid’s ongoing focus on sustainable agriculture. The products are manufactured using a proprietary biomass-to-energy process that converts agricultural waste into renewable electricity and high-value soil inputs. This approach supports both environmental stewardship and improved crop performance.

With these certifications in place, organic growers and agricultural professionals can confidently incorporate Persist products into their practices, knowing they comply with rigorous regulatory and environmental standards.
