Indonesia’s Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP), in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture’s Directorate General of Plantations, has initiated a selection process for educational and training institutions to participate in its 2026 Plantation Human Resources Development Program.
The program is designed to elevate the knowledge, skills, and overall productivity within the nation’s palm oil sector while promoting the efficient utilization of vegetable oils. The initiative seeks to strengthen the capacity of human resources and bolster the competitiveness of Indonesia’s palm oil industry on a global scale.
The call is open to a range of accredited academic institutions, including academies, polytechnics, colleges, institutes, and universities that offer programs related to palm oil, coconut, or cocoa. Additionally, certified training organizations with a minimum of two years of experience in plantation training and possessing comprehensive facilities are invited to apply.
The program’s curriculum will focus on enhancing technical, managerial, and entrepreneurial competencies among plantation professionals. The initiative provides scholarships for students pursuing qualifications from Diploma I to Bachelor’s (Strata 1) degrees in relevant fields. By fostering a more skilled workforce, the government aims to professionalize the sector and improve the quality of production. BPDP underscores its commitment to integrity and accountability throughout the selection and implementation phases, aligning with its anti-corruption objectives. Prospective institutions are required to submit proposals based on technical guidelines available on the BPDP website. The deadline for submission is January 12, 2026.
This strategic effort represents a significant government investment in the long-term sustainability and professionalism of its vital plantation sector.
