A new strategic partnership was announced between Super Biochar, a Connecticut-based climate tech startup, and Ward Laboratories, Inc., a Nebraska-based diagnostics provider. The collaboration, announced on September 18, 2025, aims to advance soil remediation and carbon removal efforts by pairing Super Biochar’s AI-guided blends with Ward Laboratories’ independent soil diagnostics.

The partnership is designed to make remediation outcomes measurable and verifiable. Ward Laboratories has invested approximately $65 million in brownfield projects since 2024, highlighting the market demand for credible soil health solutions. According to Super Biochar’s Founder and CEO, Natacha Rousseau, the partnership adds a layer of transparency from the outset of their field pilots.

The collaboration will be officially launched during Climate Week NYC on September 26, 2025, at 477 Madison Ave on the 11th floor in New York City. The companies stress that this partnership addresses a key challenge in the industry: making soil health, which is often unseen, both measurable and investable. This new alliance seeks to offer a data-driven approach to soil remediation, supporting a shared commitment to accountability and credible outcomes in the biochar sector.
