H2G Green Limited, a firm focused on clean energy solutions, has announced the formation of a new, wholly-owned subsidiary, H2G Clean Energy Pte Ltd. The new entity is part of the company’s strategic move to grow its international presence and enter the global supply and trading of liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen-related products, and a range of other clean energy solutions. This development is built on H2G’s existing energy operations in Singapore and will primarily target regional trading activities.
The company’s expansion into trading is intended to improve access to clean energy in markets across Asia that are not currently well-served by major energy providers. The initiative aligns with data from the Shell LNG Outlook 2025, which anticipates a significant increase in global LNG demand by 2040. This growth is projected to be largely driven by sustained economic development in Asian nations, ongoing industry decarbonization efforts, and the rising energy demands of artificial intelligence infrastructure.
For the biocharBiochar is a carbon-rich material created from biomass decomposition in low-oxygen conditions. It has important applications in environmental remediation, soil improvement, agriculture, carbon sequestration, energy storage, and sustainable materials, promoting efficiency and reducing waste in various contexts while addressing climate change challenges. More sector, this development is notable as the new H2G Clean Energy unit will also facilitate the downstream sales of biochar. This biochar is a sustainable product to be produced by GEIH, another H2G subsidiary, as it moves toward commercial production in Singapore. This strategic integration positions the company to provide a more comprehensive suite of sustainable products to its expanding customer base. By creating a dedicated trading arm, H2G Green is streamlining the delivery of its various clean energy offerings, including biochar, to meet the growing demand for sustainable materials and energy sources in the region.
The expansion marks a structured step by H2G to consolidate its position in the evolving clean energy landscape, creating a clearer path for the commercialization of its sustainable products and contributing to the diversification of energy supply chains in Southeast Asia. The company’s focus on both established clean energy sources like LNG and emerging products such as biochar demonstrates a balanced approach to supporting regional energy transition goals.
