Elkem has secured NOK 87 million from Enova to fund a NOK 242 million project aimed at doubling biocarbon use in its Norwegian smelters. By optimizing biomass inputs for high-temperature furnaces, the initiative could cut annual fossil emissions by 0.5 million tonnes.
